Flatten PDF Forms: practical guide and limitations

By Team Hypomnema · PDF

Merge existing PDF form values into page artwork for consistent viewing and printing.

Use the guide alongside the working tool.

Open Flatten PDF Forms →

Prepare and edit

Open a PDF with completed form fields or try the sample.

Review the existing document and choose Prepare PDF.

Inspect the flattened result, then download a new copy.

Compatibility and review

Standard AcroForms only; XFA and signature fields are rejected. This flattens form fields, not every possible annotation or layer. Missing or malformed appearances can prevent flattening. Output is still editable with PDF software; this is not document security or tamper prevention.

Private processing

PDF inputs stay in browser memory; no documents or recognized text are uploaded. PDF and OCR engines are served from this website. No remote links are opened automatically. Use authorized documents, review outputs, and download before closing the page. Input up to 20 MB / 200 pages unless a stricter limit is stated; output up to 80 MB. Edits may invalidate existing digital signatures.
