Unlock PDF
Remove a PDF password you know. Your file and password stay on-device.
Your files never leave your devicePreparing local PDF tools…
How to use Unlock PDF
Create an unlocked copy using a password you already know. This does not recover or guess passwords. Files that open without a password can use an empty password field.
- Choose a PDF of up to 20 MB.
- Enter its current opening or owner password, if needed.
- Unlock and download the new copy. Keep it in a safe location.
A practical example
A password-protected statement becomes a PDF you can open without entering the password again.
Before you share the result
- Only modify documents you are entitled to change.
- The unlocked file no longer has password protection. Rewriting can invalidate digital signatures.
- Passwords stay in temporary memory and are cleared after success or cancellation; there is no password recovery.
