A LITTLE HELP FOR YOUR NEXT TASK

Image to SVG

Trace logos and simple artwork into real, scalable SVG paths.

Your files never leave your device

How to use Image to SVG

Vector tracing follows colour regions and creates SVG paths. It is useful for icons, logos, and flat illustrations. This is actual tracing, not a bitmap placed inside an SVG wrapper.

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. Simple artwork with distinct colours works best.
  2. Set the colour count, tracing detail, and small-shape threshold. Choose a tracing resolution suitable for your image.
  3. Trace, inspect the vector preview, and download the SVG. Compare edges and colours against the original.

A practical example

Trace a two-colour icon with four colours and a low small-shape threshold for clean, editable outlines.

Useful things to know

What are the limitations?

Photographs may produce complex or stylized paths rather than a faithful small file. Tracing is limited to a 1,000-pixel longest edge, 32 colours, and 5 MB output. Text becomes shapes, not editable type. Animation and source metadata are not retained.

Is this private and free to use?

File processing stays in your browser. Model and runtime assets are downloaded from this site only when needed. Your selected images and recognized text are not uploaded, and no visitor documents are stored between visits.

What should I check before relying on the result?

Keep your original. Inspect recognition, colours, transparency, and dimensions. Automated tools can make mistakes; the preview and editing controls help you review the result.

Is Image to SVG free, and how is my privacy handled?

Yes. Image to SVG is free to use without registration. Tool inputs are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to our servers. Optional usage analytics follows your cookie preferences; it does not receive your files or tool inputs. Keep your browser updated and review results before sharing.
