PNG to JPG
Make PNG pictures into shareable JPGs, with your choice of background.
Your files never leave your deviceHow to use PNG to JPG
Convert PNG pictures to JPEG for services that require JPG uploads. JPEG is lossy and has no alpha channel, so transparent areas are filled with the background you choose.
- Choose one or more PNG files.
- Set JPEG quality and a background colour. Optionally cap the output width without enlargement.
- Review the preview and output sizes, then download JPG files or a batch ZIP.
A practical example
Convert a transparent product PNG into a JPG on a white background for a marketplace upload.
Before you share the result
- Transparency becomes a solid colour and cannot be restored from the JPG.
- Small text and sharp graphics can show JPEG artifacts; keep PNG originals.
- A conversion is not guaranteed to make every image smaller.
Useful things to know
Are my files private?
File processing happens locally in your browser. Images, PDFs, and output archives are not uploaded to our servers. Save your results before leaving: the workspace is cleared on refresh or navigation.
What formats and sizes are supported?
Up to 30 images, 30 MB per file, 80 MB combined, and 40 megapixels per input image. Dedicated format converters accept only their named source format. Exported images are limited to 16 megapixels. Total output is limited to 100 MB. Smaller batches work better on phones.
What should I expect from this tool?
PNG inputs only. Animated PNG uses a browser-decoded frame; animation and metadata are not retained.
Will the exported image look exactly like the original?
PNG retains the decoded pixels without extra lossy compression; JPEG and WebP use the chosen quality. Metadata and colour profiles are not copied. Colour rendering can vary by browser. Animated images become a browser-decoded still frame. Keep your originals and inspect the downloaded output.
Is PNG to JPG free, and how is my privacy handled?
Yes. PNG to JPG is free to use without registration. Tool inputs are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to our servers. Optional usage analytics follows your cookie preferences; it does not receive your files or tool inputs. Keep your browser updated and review results before sharing.
