Image Resizer
Resize by pixels or percentage. Keep proportions or fit a precise canvas.
Your files never leave your deviceHow to use Image Resizer
Prepare images for a website, application form, or social post. Resize a batch to a bounding box, scale by percentage, or create an exact canvas with contain or cover fitting.
- Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Check the preview and original dimensions.
- Choose pixels or percentage. Keep aspect ratio for a bounding box, contain for a padded canvas, or cover to fill and crop.
- Choose the output format and quality. Process, compare the output dimensions, and download individual images or one ZIP.
A practical example
Fit a 2400 × 1600 photo into 1200 × 1200: keep aspect ratio gives 1200 × 800, contain adds padding, and cover crops to a filled square.
Before you share the result
- Prevent enlargement is enabled by default for proportional resizing. An exact contain/cover canvas uses your entered dimensions.
- JPEG does not support transparency. Use PNG or WebP to retain transparent areas.
- Upscaling cannot recover missing detail. Check the result at its actual display size.
Useful things to know
Are my files private?
File processing happens locally in your browser. Images, PDFs, and output archives are not uploaded to our servers. Save your results before leaving: the workspace is cleared on refresh or navigation.
What formats and sizes are supported?
Up to 30 images, 30 MB per file, 80 MB combined, and 40 megapixels per input image. Dedicated format converters accept only their named source format. Exported images are limited to 16 megapixels. Total output is limited to 100 MB. Smaller batches work better on phones.
What should I expect from this tool?
Resizing changes pixels. Original EXIF, GPS, and other metadata are not copied. Large images may exhaust mobile memory.
Will the exported image look exactly like the original?
PNG retains the decoded pixels without extra lossy compression; JPEG and WebP use the chosen quality. Metadata and colour profiles are not copied. Colour rendering can vary by browser. Animated images become a browser-decoded still frame. Keep your originals and inspect the downloaded output.
Is Image Resizer free, and how is my privacy handled?
Yes. Image Resizer is free to use without registration. Tool inputs are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to our servers. Optional usage analytics follows your cookie preferences; it does not receive your files or tool inputs. Keep your browser updated and review results before sharing.
