Volume Booster & Normalizer in your browser

By Team Hypomnema · Updated October 19, 2026

Boost or reduce volume, normalize peaks to a chosen ceiling and remove DC offset.

Prepare and preview

Add a recording and trim it if needed.

Choose peak normalization or manual gain. Set a ceiling and optionally remove DC offset.

Prepare the preview, compare levels and download MP3 or WAV.

Limits and output quality

Browser-supported MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC and WebM inputs; mono or stereo only. One file up to 20 MB and two minutes of source audio. Output is limited to two minutes. Processing stays local at 44.1 kHz in a cancellable worker. WAV is 16-bit PCM. MP3 re-encoding is lossy, can add frame padding and may use a lower sample rate at low bitrates. Export metadata is not preserved. The encoder reduces gain when necessary to prevent sample clipping. Peak normalization uses a shared gain across channels and preserves dynamics. It is not LUFS loudness matching, compression, noise removal or clipped-audio repair. Manual gain is capped at the selected sample-peak ceiling. DC offset correction subtracts each selected channel’s mean; it does not remove hum. Gain can increase existing background noise. Silent input remains silent. Reported PCM peaks are measured before export fades and lossy MP3 encoding; true peaks can differ.
