Choose a collage layout, frame each photo, style meme captions and export artwork with clear size limits.
Choose a collage that suits the story
Add up to twelve photos and start with a balanced grid, a large hero photo, horizontal/vertical strips or an editorial mosaic. Each image has its own crop, zoom, rotation, flips and fit mode. Fill crops the image to the frame; Fit retains the whole image and may leave background around it. Select a photo on the preview or from the numbered list, then use drag controls, arrow keys or framing sliders. Reorder photos with Earlier/Later. Spacing, outer padding, border color, rounded corners and optional captions apply consistently to the deck. Choose No borders for an edge-to-edge collage: this removes gaps, padding, frames, rounding and caption bands and fills each cell. Add up to twelve separate text overlays with font/color choices, outlines, shadows, alignment and optional solid backgrounds. Select a text layer to drag it on the preview or use position/size controls and arrow keys; switch back to Edit photos to frame images. If cells become too small, reduce borders/gaps or select another layout.
Build a meme with editable layers
Start with your own photo, classic top/bottom text, a headline banner or expectation/reality captions. There is no stock-image collection or account connection. Add up to twelve text and shape layers. Captions support installed system font families, uppercase, alignment, outlines, drop shadows, opacity and optional solid backgrounds. Shapes include arrows, circles, stars, rectangles and speech bubbles. Choose Shape fill: None for an outline-only sticker, then set its line color and width independently. No fill automatically enables a visible line. Layer order controls which element appears on top. Drag a layer to move it and use the corner to resize; position/size sliders and arrow-key nudging provide alternatives. Text automatically shrinks inside its box and reports an error if it cannot fit. Keep captions concise and check the exported image at the size people will see it.
Control exports without overstating quality
PNG is lossless; JPG and WebP offer quality controls that trade size for encoding loss. JPG uses the selected solid background. PNG/WebP can preserve transparent outer space in collages. No original EXIF metadata or tool watermark is copied into exported artwork. Photos are validated at up to 20 MB and sixteen megapixels each, then normalized to a maximum 1024-pixel edge to bound phone memory. Larger output canvases may upscale these retained assets; they do not restore lost detail. Custom canvases are capped at 4096 pixels per edge and twelve megapixels, with a forty-megabyte encoded output limit. Large exports can still stress mobile browsers; reduce dimensions if needed.
Keep edits and sharing under your control
Undo/redo keeps a bounded history in page memory and shares unchanged photo assets rather than duplicating original files. Very old edits may be dropped to keep retained asset counts bounded. Closing or reloading the page clears the workspace. Selection frames, resize handles and cell numbers are editing controls and never appear in downloads. Browser font availability, emoji rendering, filters and image codecs vary. Use photographs and captions you have the right to share and inspect the final exported file before publishing.
