Understand salary-to-hourly assumptions and safely remove repeated lines, blank lines, spaces and tokens without uploading text.
Pay periods and working time
A standard 40-hour, five-day, 52-week schedule has 2,080 working hours and 260 working days. Annual pay divides by twelve for monthly and twenty-four for twice-monthly. Biweekly is two working weeks, giving twenty-six periods at fifty-two weeks. A real payroll calendar can have twenty-seven biweekly paydays. Minute/second rates describe working time rather than every minute of a calendar year.
Customize without confusing gross and net
Enter the pay period you know and set work hours, days and working weeks. Fewer weeks can represent unpaid time off; paid leave can remain included. Days are equal-length average workdays. Currency labels do not perform foreign exchange. Taxes, insurance, pension, overtime rules, bonuses, benefits and local employment laws are excluded. Exact decimal fractions avoid intermediate floating-point errors, while displayed amounts are rounded.
Deduplicate a spreadsheet column
Paste one entry per line and use Clean a list to trim edges, remove blank lines and keep unique entries in their original order. By default matching is exact and keeps the first occurrence. Optional lowercase matching and trimmed comparison can match entries without rewriting kept text; last-occurrence retention preserves the positions of retained entries. This is not a CSV parser: quoted fields containing newlines are treated as multiple lines.
Make destructive cleanup an explicit choice
Extra spaces, tabs and line edges have separate controls. Word removal uses whitespace-separated tokens and keeps punctuation as part of each token unless punctuation removal is selected. Removing all repeated words can damage grammar. Other opt-in tools handle bullets, numbered prefixes, non-breaking spaces, Unicode NFC, invisible characters, emoji and punctuation. Removing zero-width marks can change writing systems and emoji. All-whitespace removal can merge words and code, so always inspect the preview. Transformations precede line deduplication; word removal follows it, then joining/whitespace removal. Later transformations may create new duplicates. Line endings normalize to LF.
Local processing and limits
Salary and text stay on your device without permanent storage. The text cleaner uses a cancellable local worker, up to 1 MB/50,000 lines and a ten-second processing deadline. Original text remains available while options alter only the preview. Copy or download TXT after review. Cleanup is not HTML sanitization and output must not be treated as safe executable content.
